Baby shower cake

This is a baby shower cake I made for a friend.  As usual, the humidity helped to make it challenging.  Still, I am pleased with the results.  With this cake, I learned about making "figures" and "ribbon" with fondant. Also the first time I used a paper towel to create a "pattern" in the buttercream icing.  Too bad you can't see it in the picture, it looked neat!

I have wanted to make a princess cake for a long time...  I finally got the opportunity for Greta's birthday.  Greta is the daughter of my friend Melisa.

Cake for Jo's son, Ed

While this cake was not challenging, it was fun to mix the Lego with the cake.  Ed wanted a Harry Potter themed cake.
